My knowledge of Art Education
Art education is a cause of conscience, whether it is for leisure or for further studies. Practitioners in the teaching of art play a critical role in the formative education of children. Teaching is relatively straightforward in subject areas that have specific and concrete answers such as mathematics or Mandarin. For subjects like chess, discussions can be open-ended and filled with possibilities. Subjects that produce no concrete answers, the teaching process becomes much more complex. This brings me to the question, “Is art dependent on a concrete answer or is it open-ended?” In my opinion, the answer to that question is related to the teacher and the strategies used. I personally think that if the art education focuses on the child's development and creativity as the goal, then art becomes open ended. On the contrary, if the purpose of learning art is for a child to draw and mimic exquisite works, then the teaching of art is straight forward and carried out without much thought.
No matter the age of the students, the main purpose of art education is to show [Open Results]. Students will develop observational and thinking skills without any deliberate discipline techniques and constraints under a fixed framework. The children’s sense to explore will develop gradually and their ability to notice details will be emphasized. Students will learn to have the artistic ability to process their thinking and thus inspire their creativity and aesthetic experience.
I'm not simply teaching just an artist, but I am trying to educate the internalization and appreciation of art and the beauty of it, by bringing art into our life and showing our life as a part of art.
Children who learn art develop more self-confidence than the average child as they learn not only to appreciate the art of beauty, but also show themselves creatively. Through interaction with the art, students can develop their potential to stimulate creativity, and thus enriching their lives.
In the course and under my guidance, the students will progress through a ten-series theme ( landscape, fruits and vegetables , plants, aquatic organisms , terrestrial animals , feathers animals, insects , architecture, festivals , culture, ) with the use of media architecture spindle , the students will thereby learn about points, lines, surfaces , composition , pattern, color, and symmetry, respect the child's originality, letting them enjoy the sway of innate ideas.
